Effective Nov. 1, 2018, Microsoft Office will no longer be available for personally-owned computers from the Stanford Software Licensing Web Store.
Microsoft is updating the Home Use Program to offer discounts on the latest and most up to date products such as Office 365, which is always up to date with premium versions of Office apps across all your devices. Office Professional Plus 2019 and Office Home and Business 2019 are no longer available as Home Use Program offers.
Instead, individuals with an Office 365 account can install Office 365 ProPlus on up to five computers (Windows and Mac), five tablets, and five smartphones at no charge. These devices can be personal or Stanford-owned. You’ll need to connect to the internet at least once every 30 days to verify that your Office 365 license is active. If you don’t connect within 30 days, the Office 365 ProPlus apps go into reduced functionality mode.
